    VERNEY Paris
Pendant earrings in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold, Silla de Verney model. Each earring is adorned with two large pear-cut cabochons of engraved natural rubies, centered by a small cabochon of smooth ruby. The engraved rubies feature beautiful angular areas of growth and iridescence. A certificate from Verney is supplied with the jewelry. It was Cartier who brought the fashion of engraved rubies, sapphires and emeralds to Europe, notably to compose its famous Tutti Frutti. India is a country that has mastered this art perfectly. How many sapphires break under the pressure of engraving? Achieving perfect engraving on such large stones is a matter of great mastery.
